Widespread Heavy Snow Expected

A spring storm system will move across Montana on Wednesday through Friday morning, bringing widespread heavy snow. What begins as rain Wednesday afternoon will turn to heavy wet snow as temperatures drop overnight. Some mountainous areas may receive upwards of 10 inches of snow. Travel may become difficult due to snow and ice, and areas of blowing snow will reduce visibilities. Backcountry conditions may become dangerous as well.
