Impacts

At 17.5 feet, Floodwaters partially cover low spots on Highway 106 near Rock River Park. A riverside walkway near South Water Street in downtown Fort Atkinson is closed. A few homes and businesses are surrounded by water at the end of Vets lane near the intersection of Highway 106 and Blackhawk Island Road about 1 mile southwest of Fort Atkinson. North Shore Road about 1 mile southwest of Fort Atkinson is closed. Ralph Rd impacted. Floodwaters cover fields on the east side of Fort Atkinson.

- At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 17.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 AM CDT Sunday was 17.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.4 feet on 09/11/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

What to do

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way.

At 11.3 feet, There is knee-deep water over Blackhawk Island Road. Lamp Road on west side of river also becomes flooded. Lake Koshkonong merges with Mud Lake to the east of Lake Koshkonong.

At 6.5 feet, Floodwaters affect some streets in Watertown. Water is in Riverside Park. About 6 miles upstream near Ixonia, Wayside park along Highway 16 and Kanow Park is flooded. Rock River Road near Highway 16 is flooded.

At 12.0 feet, Riverview Drive is closed due to floodwaters on the road. The Tensfeldt Park boat launch is closed. Intersection of S Main St and E Dane St is closed, and S Center Ave. Floodwaters affect highway K between Jefferson and Fort Atkinson. River's Edge Park flooded.
