The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM Sunday to 8 PM MDT Monday.

Affected Area

Fire weather zones 417, 418 and 430 through 437.

Wind

West to northwest wind with gusts to 20 mph on Sunday, becoming light and variable overnight, then west to northwest winds with gusts between 25 and 30 mph on Monday.

Humidity

5 to 10 percent.

Impacts

Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
