For the High Surf Advisory, until 5 AM ChST Tuesday. For the Coastal Flood Statement, through late Monday night.

Some water on low lying roads and property. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

Additional Details

North-northeast swell from distant Tropical Storm Sinlaku continues to bring hazardous surf along north facing reefs through at least late Monday night. Hazardous surf, combined with the higher high tides with the new moon cycle, may produce minor coastal inundation along northern shorelines at times of high tide.

What to do

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.

  • Very strong waves could be dangerous to anyone in the water and along the shore. 
  • Always stay near lifeguards.
  • Stay off of rocks or jetties where large waves could pop up suddenly.
