Heavy Rainfall Possible East and South of Tucson

Created by the NWS Tucson WFO

The combination of ample moisture and an upper-level disturbance making its way across eastern portions of the area will result in another day of widespread showers and thunderstorms, especially east and south of Tucson. These storms will be capable of producing localized rainfall amounts between 1 and 3 inches...resulting in an increased risk of flash flooding.

An image that shows a 50-80 percent probability that storms to the east and south of Tucson can produce in excess of an inch of rain in 1-hour.
