High temperatures in the mid 80s to mid 90s to around 100 for the inland San Diego County valleys with low temperatures in the mid 60s to lower 70s expected. Hottest conditions expected Thursday through Sunday.

Widespread moderate HeatRisk with localized major HeatRisk. Elevated low temperatures will limit overnight relief from the heat.
What to Do
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Tips to Stay Safe
A Heat Advisory means dangerous heat conditions are happening now or soon. Take action before, during and after the heat to stay safe.
- Stay in air-conditioned spaces if possible. Find cooling centers or places with AC in your community that you can go to, like libraries or shopping malls.
- Stay hydrated and stock up on clean drinking water to get you through multiple days of heat.
- Reschedule outdoor activities for cooler times of the day, and take breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
- Cover windows with curtains or shades, or use window reflectors designed to reflect heat back outside.
- Check on friends, family, and neighbors, especially those who do not have air conditioning or spend much of their time alone.
Make sure you know the signs of heat-related illness and how to respond.

Large breaking waves of 4 to 7 feet with sets up to 8 feet at south or southwest facing beaches.
Where
San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County Coastal Areas.
When
Until 11 PM PDT this evening.
Impacts
Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.
Additional Details
South swell of 4 to 5 feet with a period of 11-13 seconds generating high surf, primarily for south-facing beaches. High risk of rip currents exists with high surf and strong longshore currents are expected on west-facing beaches. While high tide is expected to remain below 5 feet this evening, localized areas of beach erosion and minor tidal overflow may occur in combination with the high surf. Swell and surf will decrease tonight into early Wednesday.
What to Do
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.

- Very strong waves could be dangerous to anyone in the water and along the shore.

Heat Hazards in Effect

Extreme Heat Warning is in effect beginning at 10 AM Wednesday for the low deserts and 10 AM Thursday for the high desert. Heat Advisories go into effect at the same time for the Inland Empire, San Diego County valleys, Orange County inland areas, and mountain zones. These hazards will remain in effect through Monday of next week.
