From the Forecaster
Summer Heat through Middle of Next Week
Created by the NWS Denver/Boulder WFO
Hot weather will arrive today, with most of the plains and I-25 Corridor pushing past the 90 degree mark. Isolated afternoon and early evening storms with gusty winds can be expected. Sunday will be hot too, with highs well into the 90s. Given the heat this weekend, make sure to drink plenty of water and take breaks in the shade if spending time outdoors. Avoid strenuous activities during the heat of day. After a brief respite and a few storms Monday, the hottest day of the week ahead likely arrives for Tuesday. More significant cooling is then expected later next week.
