Portions of Colorado, including the following areas, Debeque to Silt Corridor, Four Corners/Upper Dolores River, Grand and Battlement Mesas, Paradox Valley/Lower Dolores River, Roan and Tavaputs Plateaus and Uncompahgre Plateau and Dallas Divide and Utah, including the following areas, Arches/Grand Flat, Canyonlands/Natural Bridges, La Sal and Abajo Mountains, Southeast Utah and Tavaputs Plateau.

Impacts
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks, streams, slot canyons, slick rock areas, recent burn scars including Babylon, Deer Creek, Turner Gulch, Lee, PL Gulch, Ferris, Snyder, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

At 700 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 20 miles south of Grand Junction, moving west at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Mesa County.
This includes Colorado 141 between mile markers 120 and 135.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms will occur this afternoon through tonight. Heavy rainfall creates a risk of flash flooding, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas, and near recent burn scars. Debris flows are possible, especially near or downstream of recent burn scars. These storms can develop quickly and cause flooding in just minutes, so be sure to monitor the forecast and have a way to receive weather alerts. Showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast for at least the next few days.
