Impacts
Heavy rainfall over the Wapiti burn scar is expected during the period of the watch. Anyone in or near the Wapiti burn scar should prepare for potential debris flow moving through the Wapiti burn scar. Be sure to stay up to date with information from local authorities. Heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding and debris flows in and near recent wildfire burn scars.

Monsoon moisture has returned and will bring with it the threat of showers and thunderstorms with efficient rain rates. We could see localized flooding where stronger thunderstorms occur, especially over any recently burned areas, including the Wapiti burn scar near Stanley.
