What
Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

Portions of eastern and southeast Idaho, including the following areas, in eastern Idaho, Big Hole Mountains, Centennial Mountains - Island Park and Teton Valley. In southeast Idaho, Bear Lake Valley, Bear River Range, Blackfoot Mountains, Caribou Range, Franklin/Eastern Oneida Region and Marsh and Arbon Highlands.

Impacts
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

- An abnormally moist airmass will overspread eastern Idaho later tonight and continue into the day tomorrow. Thunderstorms are expected to be efficient rainfall producers and flash flooding will be possible across the watch area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

At 444 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles northeast of Juniper, or 20 miles north of Snowville, moving east northeast at 10 to 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 45 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Oneida and south central Power Counties.
What to Do
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Monsoon moisture has returned and will bring with it the threat of showers and thunderstorms with efficient rain rates. We could see localized flooding where stronger thunderstorms occur, especially over any recently burned areas, including the Wapiti burn scar near Stanley.
