A very warm and humid weekend is in store. The humidity will help foster storm chances, but there will be plenty of dry hours until late in the weekend. Scattered thunderstorms (30-50% coverage) are expected this afternoon and evening, particularly south of U.S. Highway 30. Isolated severe storms with strong winds and hail are possible south of Interstate 80. Due to abundant atmospheric moisture and the likely slower movement of storms, localized flash flooding will also be possible. Scattered storms return once again Sunday before rain and storm coverage increases Sunday night.
