Widespread Rain and Gusty Winds

A strong low pressure system will bring scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms late tonight through Wednesday afternoon. Rain should start to clear the I-65 corridor in the early afternoon hours, but will linger along and east of I-75 until around sunset or a few hours after. A few heavier showers and storms could bring gusty winds over 40 mph, especially in southern Kentucky. Isolated minor flooding will be possible where the heaviest rainfall rates occur, especially in areas where there is poor drainage due to fallen leaves.
