Tropical Storm Bertha Update

Created by the NWS New Orleans/Baton Rouge WFO

Bertha is moving slowly west-northwest and is forecast to turn more westward by late today. It currently has maximum winds of 60 mph and is expected to remain a tropical storm as it moves through coastal southeastern Louisiana. Bertha will bring the following impacts to southeastern Louisiana and Mississippi: minor to moderate storm surge flooding, especially east of the MS River; strong/gusty winds potentially leading to isolated power outages; and a few storms with locally heavy rainfall.
