What to Do
Strong longshore currents can sweep swimmers and surfers into rip currents, piers, jetties and other hazardous areas. In many cases, the longshore current is strong enough to prevent swimmers from being able to keep their feet on the bottom making it difficult to return to shore.

- Stay off of rocks and jetties due to dangerous conditions

An active weather pattern continues across ENC with isolated to scattered thunderstorms expected this afternoon and evening, though coverage is expected to be less than yesterday. Some storms may produce strong to severe wind gusts, torrential rain, and frequent lightning. There could also be localized flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas.
