Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection Winston-Salem NC has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Stokes, Rockingham and Caswell Counties for Ground Level Ozone, until midnight Saturday night.

Dry weather continues through at least Saturday, chances for afternoon and evening showers and storms remain low Sunday. High temperatures today will be in the low 80s to mid 80s in the mountains, and low to mid 90s in the Piedmont. These hot temperatures will persist through Sunday, and into early next week, so make sure to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning. Never leave children or pets inside vehicles!
