A brief reprieve from the recent wet weather continues during the daytime today. Rain returns on Sunday as a low pressure system tracks across the Mid-Atlantic, bringing the potential for steady, locally heavy rainfall. This system will then linger off the coast through the week ahead, resulting in periods of damp and dreary conditions with scattered showers across much of our area.
