At 612 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking showers and embedded thunderstorms resulting in pockets of torrential rainfall in narrow bands across Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts. This will result in pockets of poor drainage street flooding.
HAZARD...Heavy rain and pockets of poor drainage street flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Water on roads that flood easily.
Locations impacted include... Providence, New Bedford, Brockton, Fall River, Warwick, Cranston, Pawtucket, Plymouth, Taunton, East Providence, Coventry, Dartmouth, South Kingstown, West Warwick, Johnston, Bridgewater, North Kingstown, Marshfield, Newport, and Bristol.

Do not drive through flooded roads or underpasses.

Main time of concern is 4 PM Tue - 4 AM Wed and again 2 PM - 10 PM Wed.
