Tonight's Weather Story
Created by the NWS Sioux Falls WFO
Cooler afternoon highs and lower dew points will lead to very pleasant days through the end of the work week. However, this weekend the heat and humidity returns with highs in the 90s to low 100s and dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s. Heat index values will climb into the low 100s for much of the region, and heat related headlines may be needed at times this weekend. There are two chances for isolated, light sprinkles to rain showers Wednesday morning and again Thursday afternoon, mainly south of I-90. Total rain will be very light at a hundredth or two to a couple of tenths. No meaningful rainfall is expected for the next seven days.
