The September monthly normal rainfall is right around 3", and the past 72 hours of rain took a big chunk out of that for much of the region! This rainfall map captures both Wednesday and Friday's rain, with most locations observing at least 0.5" and many seeing between 1-2". The heaviest rain fell across southern MN with the storms that occurred last night. A Flood Warning remains in effect for New Richland, MN where over 6 inches of rain and active flooding throughout the town was reported.
