Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

Additional Details

- At 259 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

What to Do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

A Heat Advisory is in effect from 10 AM to 5 PM AST for Puerto Rico, including Culebra and Vieques, and for St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix. Most heat-sensitive people may be affected; drink water often, take frequent breaks, and limit strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day.
