Expect mostly clear skies and dry conditions today with northeasterly winds becoming light and variable this afternoon. Mid level cloudiness will increase from west to east this evening with increased chances of precipitation overnight into tomorrow. The best chances for measurable precipitation remain across our southern zones, decreasing to near zero across our northern most zones. Rain chances come to an end from west to east tomorrow morning with decreasing clouds in the evening. Mostly clear skies are expected overnight tomorrow night. As for temperatures, expect lows this morning to range from the low 30s across west central Kansas to low 40s across south central Kansas. Highs tomorrow are expected to range form the upper 50s along the I-70 corridor to low 60s across the KS/OK border. Lows will dip into the upper 30s to low 40s tonight with highs tomorrow in the 50s. The remainder of the forecast looks dry with surface high pressure being the main feature. Highs during this period will reach into the 60s for highs with upper 30s to upper 40s for lows.

Aviation weather will be good today with widespread VFR flight category and a light west-northwesterly wind. Another storm system will approach from the west this evening, and widespread rain (and a thunderstorm or two) will develop across southwest Kansas toward the end of this TAF period late tonight/early Thursday morning. This will be a quick-moving system, so the period of rain will likely last less than 9 hours or so at any one location.
