Tips to Stay Safe
A Dense Fog Advisory means that thick fog is happening now or very soon. It will limit visibility to less than a quarter mile, creating dangerous travel conditions.
- Limit driving or other travel if possible.
- If driving, slow down and plan for extra travel time to reach your destination.
- Use headlights and fog lights if you have them. Do not use high-beam lights, as the glare makes it more difficult for you to see.
- Leave plenty of distance between you and other vehicles.

In Alabama, Mobile Coastal and Baldwin Coastal Counties. In Florida, Escambia Coastal, Santa Rosa Coastal and Okaloosa Coastal Counties.

Impacts
Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
What to Do
Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
