Continued Hot, Increasing Moisture into Friday

Hot weather will continue across the region over the next several days, with temperatures approaching 100 degrees across the lower Arkansas River Valley. Moisture will also increase from west to east through the period, with the best chance for precipitation over the eastern plains and adjacent mountains coming late Thursday into Friday. An elevated flash flood threat will develop over recent burn scars with this system, beginning on Wednesday over Willow burn scar and then spreading east across the eastern mountains Thursday and Friday. #cowx
