Showers and Thunderstorms Possible Wednesday

Created by the NWS Peachtree City WFO

An approaching cold front will bring the return of rain and thunderstorms to North and Central Georgia primarily on Wednesday into Thursday. Although widespread severe weather is not expected, there remains a low-end risk for an isolated strong to severe storm. Main impacts in the strongest storms will be gusty winds and nuisance flooding in poor drainage or low-lying areas.

Graphic titled "Showers and Thunderstorms Possible Tomorrow" from the National Weather Service Atlanta. It features a precipitation probability table for Georgia cities from Wednesday, Nov 4 through Sunday, Nov 8, showing rain chances peaking on Wednesday afternoon and evening (50% to 85% across most areas). A text box titled "What’s Going On" states: showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage Wednesday as a cold front approaches; widespread severe weather is not expected, but there is a low-end risk for an isolated strong to severe storm; main impacts are gusty winds and nuisance flooding in low-lying or poor-drainage areas.
