Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where
Portions of south central and southwest Michigan, including the following counties, in south central Michigan, Calhoun. In southwest Michigan, Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo and Van Buren.

Impacts
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Additional Details
- 1 to 3 inches of rain has fallen across the Flood Watch area. Some localized ponding of water has been reported. This afternoon will bring a lull in the activity, however more rain will spread in this evening and continue through the night. Precipitation is expected to taper off Sunday morning. The rain that has fallen already has saturated the ground and additional rainfall will go into run off and potential flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

If a Flood Warning is issued, it means that dangerous flooding is expected or already happening.
- Never walk, swim, or drive through flood waters or flooded roads.
- Stay away from areas where water levels can rise rapidly, like storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.

Risk for Localized Flooding Saturday to Sunday

There will be several rounds of heavy rain Saturday into Sunday. The first round of heavy rain is expected Saturday morning. While there will be on and off showers through Saturday, there will be another round of heavier showers Saturday night into early Sunday. 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected over southwest Lower MI with locally heavier amounts possible. Areas south of I-96 and west of I-69 are most at risk, including Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Allegan. Lightning will also be a threat due to thunderstorms in the area
