Risk for Localized Flooding Saturday to Sunday

There will be several rounds of heavy rain Saturday into Sunday. The first round of heavy rain is expected Saturday morning. While there will be on and off showers through Saturday, there will be another round of heavier showers Saturday night into early Sunday. 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected over southwest Lower MI with locally heavier amounts possible. Areas south of I-96 and west of I-69 are most at risk, including Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Allegan. Lightning will also be a threat due to thunderstorms in the area

A map on the left shows the expected rainfall Saturday into Sunday. The heaviest rainfall will be along and southwest of a line extending from Muskegon to Kalamazoo. Expect two to four inches through this area with higher amounts closer to St. Joseph.
