Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

Impacts
At 24.0 feet, Low-lying cropland floods. At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water.

- At 8:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 26.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 7.9 feet Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

- If you are trapped in a building, move to the highest floor and call 911. Go to the roof only if necessary.
- Do not go into any room where electrical cords or outlets are under water. Stay out of water that may have electricity in it!
- If your vehicle is trapped in rapidly moving water, stay inside. If water is rising inside the vehicle, move to the roof and signal for help.

Grand River near Sumner affecting Chariton, Linn, Carroll and Livingston Counties.
What
Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where
Grand River near Sumner.
When
Until late Tuesday evening.
Impacts
At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage begins to flood. At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is flooded. At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water.

- At 8:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 30.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.4 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Monday evening. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Showers/thunderstorms will be possible (20-30%) this afternoon and evening. Uncertainty remains on exactly where these storms will initially develop. A few stronger storms will be possible along and north of US-36. Flooding concerns will persist with any additional heavy rain we get through the weekend. Hot and humid conditions are expected next week.
