The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri
Platte River At Sharps Station affecting Platte County.
What
Moderate flooding is forecast.
Where
Platte River at Sharps Station.
When
From Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon.
Impacts
At 26.0 feet, Low-lying rural land along the river begins to flood. At 29.0 feet, Backwater from the Platte River floods Highway KK along the Little Platte River at the location 0.2 miles east of Highway B. At 30.5 feet, Interurban Road floods about 1.5 miles southeast of Sharps Station. At 31.5 feet, The south approach to the Highway B bridge over the Little Platte River is under water due to backwater from the Platte River.

- At 7:30 PM CST Tuesday the stage was 11.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late Thursday evening to a crest of 30.6 feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

- If your home is likely to flood, or if authorities tell you to evacuate, do so immediately and move to higher ground.
- Never walk, swim, or drive through flood waters or flooded roads.
- Stay away from areas where water levels can rise rapidly, like storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
- If you are trapped in a building, move to the highest floor and call 911. Go to the roof only if necessary.
- Do not go into any room where electrical cords or outlets are under water. Stay out of water that may have electricity in it!
- If your vehicle is trapped in rapidly moving water, stay inside. If water is rising inside the vehicle, move to the roof and signal for help.

Platte River near Platte City affecting Platte County.
What
Minor flooding is forecast.
Where
Platte River near Platte City.
When
From late Thursday night to Sunday evening.
Impacts
At 20.0 feet, Cropland near State Highway 92 near Platte City begins to flood. At 22.0 feet, Flooding occurs at Humphreys Access Area which is located 5 miles downstream from Platte City. 300 acres of pasture are also flooded. At 25.0 feet, Water overtops 1st Street in Tracy, Missouri.

Another band of showers and storms moves through accompanying a slowly moving cold front. There is a marginal risk for some strong to severe storms across NE and Eastern MO this evening. Gusty winds resume (now out of the NW ) behind the storms and continue through the evening.
