* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... North Central Socorro County in central New Mexico...
* Until 345 PM MDT.
* At 301 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles northeast of Magdalena, or 17 miles northwest of Socorro, moving east at 5 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include... Mainly rural areas of North Central Socorro County.

At 303 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 19 miles northwest of Bernardo, or 19 miles west of Belen, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include... Mainly rural areas of North Central Socorro and West Central Valencia Counties.

Impacts
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.
Additional Details
- At 126 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Alamo. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
What to Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
